After the test of accuracy on the previous few holes, the 8th requires you to open your shoulders once more, as this is a long par 4 where the tee shot is uphill. You should favour the left side of the fairway to ensure you are not blocked out by the encroaching trees which run all the way down the right side of the hole. The green, whilst being comparatively flat, is long from front to back so be sure to take enough club with the second shot.
Pro's Tip
“This is the widest fairway on the course and the perfect line is the furthest left hand tree. The long second shot is usually played downwind. Scoring a par here is a no mean feat.”
