Bristol & Clifton Golf Club

For All Abilities

Our women's golfing abilities range from scratch/plus handicap golfers to those using the full handicap system and beginner’s golf. Whatever your ability there are plenty of opportunities for all levels of golfers to play in competitions throughout the year, including:

County golf
Bristol & Clifton members play an active role in the South West Championships, Gloucestershire County golf and Bristol and District Lady Golfers’ Alliance (BDLGA). We always have women members representing B&C at county level, keeping us to date at all times with what’s happening in women's golf in the county. Our single handicap members have the opportunity to play scratch golf as members of the Gloucestershire County team having built a strong pathway for our members into the various county teams.
Inter Club golf
We also have two teams in the BDLGA alliance league playing scratch golf in singles matches. We play against various clubs from South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bath.
In addition, we take part in a mid handicap league with a number of local clubs.
Women's section and club competitions
Each Tuesday is women's day and in the summer season there will always be a women's competition on this day, some individual and others team based. Formats vary from stablefords to foursomes, greensomes, bowmakers etc.
Competitions outside of normal working hours
Women members can also play in a number of club competitions held at the weekend, which particularly appeals to those members in full-time employment.
